MAKHANDA - The National Arts Festival in Makhanda has been a vital platform for South African creativity for half a century.
But, the festival has recently been grappling with financial uncertainty.
Despite weathering the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival has lost its major sponsor, the National Lottery.
Attendance and support have also been dwindling.
