BANGKOK - A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake has devastated parts of Myanmar, leaving at least 144 people dead and nearly 1,500 injured.
The true scale of the disaster is still unfolding, with authorities warning that the death toll could rise.
The quake was felt across Myanmar and beyond, reaching Thailand, China, and Laos.
In the aftermath, humanitarian organizations are mobilizing to assist affected communities. but access to some of the hardest-hit areas remains a challenge.
Doctors without borders, or MSF, says it is ready to respond at scale, but teams need swift and unhindered access to assess the damage and provide medical care.
MSF spokesperson Borrie Le Grange discussed this with eNCA.
