Municipal workers salaries | Salga, unions enter final round of talks

JOHANNESBURG - Cosatu is backing its member Samwu, as it locks horns again, with the South Africa Local Government Association.

The parties are engaged in the third and final round of salary negotiations.

Samwu says it was not impressed by Salga’s attempts to exclude financially distressed municipalities.

It says this would unfairly penalise workers for matters they cannot control.

Cosatu spokesperson Zanele Sabela discussed this with eNCA.
