Meyiwa murder trial postponed, again

PRETORIA - The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has been postponed to the 5 May.

Accused one's lawyer, Advocate Charles Mnisi, says he's simply not ready to proceed.

This is despite the fact that the case was postponed for over two months to give him time to get up to speed.

Mnisi says that although he’s been following the trial, he never consulted with Sibiya or gave him legal advice.

And with the threat of life imprisonment hanging over his client, he says being rushed compromises the trial's fairness.
