Mbongeni Ngema | Director for the Centre for Creative Arts at UKZN pays tribute

JOHANNESBURG - Tributes have been pouring in for veteran music and theatre legend Mbongeni Ngema following his death Wednesday.
Ngema, best known for writing the stage play, Sarafina! was killed in a car accident in Mbizana in the Eastern Cape.
In his tribute to Ngema, the University of KwaZulu-Natal's Dr Ismail Mahomed, described him as a theatre, film and music icon.
Mahomed has called on society to use this moment to reflect on the man and his legacy and not to overshadow it bringing up his flaws.
