JOHANNESBURG - The battle for control of the Mangaung Metro is far from over.
Pappie Mokoena from the Afrikan Alliance of Social Democrats is vowing to challenge an interim court order that has interdicted him from performing his duties.
Mokoena, who was elected with the assistance of the DA, the EFF and seven expelled ANC councillors, has been replaced by the ANC’s Gregory Nthatisi who’s now acting Mayor.
