Lobby groups urge government to revive Liquor Amendment Bill

JOHANNESBURG - Lobby groups are urging government to revive the Liquor Amendment Bill.

It's been on hold since 2018.

The bill will raise the legal drinking age from 18 to 21.

It also imposes a 100d metre radius restriction on outlets around schools and religious venues.
