BLOEMFONTEIN - Lourierpark residents in Bloemfontein are taking it upon themselves to guard a vacant plot of land.
They want to stop people invading the property near their upscale homes.
On Tuesday, police used teargas to disperse crowds as residents confronted those wanting to move in.
Community meetings are now being held to decide on the next move.
eNCA reporter Bafedile Moerane is in Lourierpark.
