JOHANNESBURG - The lead investigator in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial is set to take the stand on Wednesday.
This as the state’s case nears its conclusion in the High Court in Pretoria.
This will be the second time Brigadier Bongani Gininda appears in court, following his earlier testimony in a trial-within-a-trial focused on the admissibility of confessions from two accused.
Gininda previously revealed details of an alleged contractual hit on Meyiwa, implicating his then-girlfriend, singer Kelly Khumalo.
However, the state indicated that the senior police officer’s exam schedule could impact his testimony.
The state also revealed it had intended to call another witness to discuss Longwe Twala’s movements on the night of the murder.
