Joburg property rates | The City has received over 42,000 objections

JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg ratepayers unhappy with property valuations should file objections despite the deadline having passed according to OUTA's Julius Kleynhans.

The city has completed the processing of the valuation roll, which was open for objection until 5 May.

It has received over 42,000 objections.

OUTA says if you can't convince the board the valuation is unrealistic, you will be stuck paying inflated rates.
