THE HAGUE - South Africa has presented its claims of genocide against Israel to the UN’s top court.

The hearings on Thursday and Friday relate to South Africa’s request for an interim order for Israel to stop it’s military operations.

Overall it says that Israel has genocidal intent and is targeting Palestinians broadly rather than just the militant group Hamas.

Israel has rejected the claim of genocide and will present its case tomorrow.

Professor Magnus Killander from the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria discussed the case.
