JOHANNESBURG - eNCA is focusing on the rising human trafficking plague in South Africa.
StatsSA reports there are over 16,000 kidnappings each year.
There have unfortunately not been many prosecutions.
This is despite policy and legislation in place.
In 2015, the Prevention and Combating of Trafficking in Persons Act was adopted.
There is also a National Policy Framework on how to deal with the scourge.
We discuss this with human rights lawyer Keah Challenor.
