JOHANNESBURG - Healthcare in Africa is in crisis.
One of every eight in-patients is critically ill.
And of those, over 20 percent die within 7 days of admission.
This is according to a study by Walter Sisulu University.
It found that most of the deaths are preventable, but the proper healthcare is not being provided.
We discuss this with Head of Anaesthesiology at Walter Sisulu University, Prof Busisiwe Mrara.
