Health and wellness | Promoting healthier and safer communities

JOHANNESBURG - The health department alongside the South African Police and community organisations are on Sunday promoting healthier and safer communities in Eshowe, KwaZulu-Natal.

The activities are part of annual Nyakaza Mlalazi Healthy and Wellness Day in the uMlalazi Municipality.

The campaign is aimed at encouraging individuals and families to join hands with government and the private sector to raise awareness about risky behaviour which leads to violent activities and gender-based violence.

Dr Lynn Moeng, Chief Director for Health Promotion at the National Health Department spoke with eNCA.
