Global Fund | Calls for investments to save lives

JOHANNESBURG - The Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria is on a fund-raising drive.

It hopes to get enough money to save 23 million lives between 2027 and 2029.

Better known as the Global Fund, it launched the Investment Case for its Eighth Replenishment in Joburg.

At that launch, South Africa and the UK announced they’ll co-host the partnership’s fund-raising efforts this year.

Under its G20 Presidency, South Africa is highlighting the need for sustained investment in health systems.
