Food insecurity Spotlight on the African continent 1
JOHANNESBURG - There's a need for policy changes and for African countries to encourage increased food production according to Tafadzwa Mabhaudi, a Professor of Climate Change, Food Systems and Health with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
In an article, Mbhaudhi says there are huge gaps in the current Agrifood system, and the continent's crop treasure trove is being neglected. Research shows that 20 percent of the continent’s population faced hunger in 2020.
Professor Mbhaudhi spoke with eNCA from London.
