Fire leaves parts of Joburg in the dark
JOHANNESBURG - Following an underground blaze that left most parts of the Johannesburg CBD in the dark, the extent of structural damage is still being investigated.
Authorities say preliminary investigations indicate the fire affected cables from the Fordsburg substation to the Braamfontein substation.
Professor Richard Wall, head of the fire research unit at Stellenbosch University discussed the situation with eNCA.
