Electricity prices charge up consumer inflation

JOHANNESBURG - Inflation has cooled to 4.6 percent, its lowest level in three years.

Electricity cost is one of the factors contributing to rising prices.

Stats SA has found power prices rose the fastest over the last 15 years.

It recorded an average growth rate of 10.5 percent per year since 2009.
