CAPE TOWN - Feenix, a student crowdfunding site, is optimistic the NSFAS Board's decision to dissolve will result in constructive change.
Higher education minister Blade Nzimande declared his intention to dissolve the board and designate Freeman Nomvalo as its administrator.
According to Feenix, students get frustrated when they don't know where their money will come in or if it will run out midway through the school year. The site has distributed over R10-million to students in the past year via its crowd-sourcing portal.
Cara-Jean Petersen, Feenix's CEO, spoke to the eNCA.
