GQEBERHA - The Eastern Cape Transport Department has called on parents and pupils not to risk their lives by crossing rivers and streams to get to school.

This follows images and videos of pupils crossing raging rivers went that viral on social media earlier this week.
Floods and other inclement have battered the country after increased rainfall in recent weeks.
Unathi Binqose, Eastern Cape Transport Department spokesperson discussed this with eNCA.
