DUBAI - Flights from South Africa with stop overs in Dubai are set to resume in the next day or two.
That's after being cancelled due to heavy rain and flooding in the city.
Authorities say more heavy rain can be expected in the Gulf states, with Oman and the UAE battling deadly flooding for the past few days now.
In Oman, the death toll has risen to 19. Emirates airlines yesterday suspended flights from Dubai's International Airport.

The airport has now been partially opened, but thousands of passengers are still stranded there, including many South Africans. It is the world's second biggest airport. Authorities there say they've experienced the heaviest rainfall in 75 years.
