DRC conflict | Troops to remain in the DRC until December
JOHANNESBURG - A number of South African troops will remain in the Democratic Republic of Congo until December and President Cyril Ramaphosa has informed parliament of the extension.
The move comes as South Africa fulfills its peacekeeping obligations as part of the SADC mission in Eastern DRC.
Almost 3,000 SANDF soldiers are stationed there.
