JOHANNESBURG - The Council for Medical Schemes is concerned about runaway spending.
It's published a report that revealed exorbitant fees for hosting annual general meetings.
Of the 71 registered medical schemes, 33 of those incurred AGM-related expenses, totalling an eye watering R29.2m.
This the council says, this warrants an in-depth investigation into the potential factors contributing to these extravagant costs.
