JOHANNESBURG - It's summertime, but the living's not so easy.

That was the opening gambit of UN SG Antonio Guteres' call for urgent action against climate change.

The UN has found the duration and intensity of extreme heat is increasing around the world.

Guterres says instead of fighting each other, we should be fighting the common enemy of global warming.
