Discussion | Women In Rugby | Growing women's rugby off the pitch

JOHANNESBURG - South African women's rugby is now getting the love it has always deserved but there is still a lot more work required to get it to where it should be.

Great strides are being made on the pitch, both at franchise and national level, and that development is filtering into the off-field structures.

The Springbok Women boast a technical team that has a female assistant coach in Laurian Johannes-Haupt and Zwonaka Mbedzi as the technical analyst.

Another woman coming up the technical analysis ladder is Karabo Kekana.

She takes care of the analysis for the junior teams at the Golden Lions Rugby Union and has her sights set on the national team.
