Discussion | Union wants Minister to fast-track police reform

PRETORIA - The Independent Policing Union of South Africa is calling on minister Senzo Mchunu to fast-track the country's police reforms.

A recent mass shooting that claimed at least 8 lives at a tavern in Kanana, North West and the discovery of an illegal military training camp in Mpumalanga has intensified the spotlight on law enforcement.

The union says if these events are anything to go by, police are losing the fight against crime.
