MAOUTO - UNICEF Mozambique urgently needs 10 million US dollars to respond to the emergencies caused by Cyclone Chido.
The cyclone hit close to Pemba in the Cabo Delgado province, blowing away roofs and damaging civilian infrastructure, including electricity and communication systems.
Aid groups say at least 174,000 people have been impacted, but numbers may increase as assessments continue.
