CAPE TOWN - The future of the multi-billion-rand cannabis industry may just go up in smoke. Health Minister, Aaron Motsoaledi, is banning, the import, manufacture and sale of any cannabis-containing foods.
This means no one is permitted to sell, grow, manufacture or import Cannabis products. This includes hemp seed oil or powder and various species and subspecies of the herb.
Just four years ago, government rolled out the National Cannabis Master Plan which promised economic stimulus and job creation.
