JOHANNESBURG - The metals and engineering industries have faced tension due to heated discussions about the main agreement negotiation, which has been a recurring issue post 2010.
However, The Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of Southern Africa suggests a settlement that aims to create a stable and peaceful environment for the industry to thrive again.
The council has suggested a long-term agreement, wages, and a gazette extension as some of the main principles for this year’s negotiations.
SEIFSA’s Chief Executive Officer, Lucio Trentini spoke to the eNCA.
