Discussion | Stability will be elusive in the GNU - Governance expert

JOHANNESBURG - It will be will be difficult to maintain unity in the GNU. 

That's the view of governance expert Trevor Fowler.

The power-sharing government currently consists of eleven parties but not all are represented in cabinet.

There are concerns over how the seventh administration will unfold going forward as parties have different policies despite signing the agreement.

Fowler says two bigger parties would have been easier to hold accountable.
