JOHANNESBURG - The South African Revenue Service has exceeded its revenue-collection targets, despite tough economic conditions for taxpayers.
SARS collected R10-billion more than what was expected in the budget speech earlier this year, and this is attributed to among others, increased collections from companies.
Over R100-billion in refund fraud was detected before payments were made.
