JOHANNESBURG - There may soon be major changes in maternity and paternity leave in the country.
A same-sex couple is taking their fight for equitable leave to the Constitutional Court.
Werner and Ika van Wyk discovered that leave laws are discriminatory.
As things stand, women who give birth receive four months, adoptive and surrogacy mothers get 10 weeks.
But fathers only get 10 days.
They have already won their case in the High Court, but it now has to be confirmed by the Apex court.
