PRETORIA - Communications Minister Solly Malatsi has withdrawn the SABC Bill to prioritise a funding model for the public broadcaster.
Malatsi says he has informed National Assembly Speaker, Thoko Didiza, of his decision to withdraw the bill.

He added that despite the broadcaster’s ongoing financial challenges and operational losses, the SABC Bill suggests a delayed funding model, giving the minister 3 years to develop a sustainable framework.
