JOHANNESBURG - Political parties are preparing for this year's general elections, which are fast approaching.

New kid on the block, RISE Mzansi, unveiled the party’s manifesto in Pretoria on Saturday.

The party is promising to restore power, secure the borders and reduce crime.

It believes it can secure between 5 and 7.5 percent of the vote.
