JOHANNESBURG - Water utility Rand Water has urged Gauteng residents not to panic and stockpile water.
This is as the utility's five-week maintenance plan began in Mogale City on Saturday.
The project is expected to wrap up at the end of July.
The bulk water supplier says infrastructure maintenance work is necessary to preserve the quality and integrity of the infrastructure.
However, water advocacy group -WaterCan, does not believe that the project will completely solve the water challenges the province is facing.
Dr Ferrial Adam, Executive Manager WaterCan spoke to eNCA.
