JOHANNESBURG - The Thabi Leoka qualification scandal has brought the issue of vetting of appointees into the spotlight.
Parmi Natesan from the Institute of Directors says vetting is basic good governance.
Leoka served on number of boards including on the Presidential Economic Advisory Council.
She claimed to hold a PhD in economics from the London School of Economics.
