JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Finance MEC Lebogang Maile is warning e-toll debt will strain already limited resources.
The province owes R20.1-billion for the system.
He was presenting the province’s mid-term budget yesterday.
Government moved to scrap e-tolls in April this year.
The system was first introduced in 2013 to pay for the highway upgrades.
OUTA’s Wayne Duvenage has more on this.
