JOHANNESBURG - Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Health has raised concerns about safety in and around healthcare facilities. This comes after recent violence at a hospital in Mpumalanga.
It is alleged that two people with armed bodyguards entered a casualty ward last week and assaulted staff while demanding medical assistance.

The incident led to some community members disrupting health services at the hospital over the weekend, complaining about security issues.
