MAPUTO - Mozambique's main opposition leader, Venancio Mondlane says he is ready to take part in talks over disputed election results, which have led to weeks of deadly protests in that country.

Mondlane returned home on Thursday after more than two months in self- imposed exile.

Reports say one person died and several were injured in clashes with the security forces yesterday.
