Discussion | More than 100 licences granted for medicinal cannabis

CAPE TOWN - As the Eastern Cape navigates out of recession territory growing the economy of the province, the good part of it will come from cannabis.

Cannabis stores are popping up in cities across South Africa. 

The department of agriculture MEC Nonceba Kontsiwe will officially hand over hemp seeds to 26-farmers, with 10,000 hectares over the next 5 years.

And revenue of over 5-billion rand is expected from the cannabis industry this year.

To discuss this burgeoning sector further, chairperson of the Cannabis Development Council of South Africa, Ras Gareth Prince spoke to eNCA.
