CAPE TOWN - It’s a hard “No” from International Relations Minister, Ronald Lamola. 

He's rejecting calls by opposition party MPs for the immediate withdrawal of troops from eastern DRC.

The National Assembly held an urgent debate on Monday about the deaths of 14 SANDF members there. 

Their bodies are yet to be brought home. 

Lamola is defending South Africa’s presence in the DRC, saying withdrawal would be worse than surrender.
