JOHANNESBURG - Authorities are investigating the cause of yet another fire at Tembisa Hospital.
On Wednesday, a blaze broke out at the hospital’s main Out-Patient Department.
It was the second fire in the space of one week. Another blaze had gutted the newly renovated Accident and Emergency Unit on Saturday night.
Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko, Gauteng Health MEC, says she couldn't grasp the problem, so they had to ask the authorities to investigate, and now there are several teams on the scene to gather different reports to determine what is going on.
Advocate Ezra Letsoalo, chair of the Gauteng Health and Wellness Portfolio Committee, noted that because the facility was relatively new and there had been numerous investments, there was a shock, with the second fire being the most alarming.
