JOHANNESBURG - South Africa wants a more multipolar world order where developing countries have more influence.

Earlier this year, the country took a decision to take Israel to the International Court of Justice over the war in Gaza. Pretoria has stood up for its foreign policy over the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

South African officials don't see the conflict in Ukraine in the same light as their Western counterparts. 

These are some of the different perspectives contained in an international law textbook that we spoke about during one of the shows.
