JOHANNESBUEG - Millions of people across Southern Africa are facing severe hunger and loss of livelihoods as the area grapples with prolonged dry spells.
In Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, extreme drought has damaged more than two million hectares of crops.
The countries have since declared the drought as national disaster. Humanitarian groups say the situation risks spiraling into an unimaginable humanitarian situation.
