Home Affairs detains former Miss SA contestant's mother
CAPE TOWN - Former Miss SA contestant, Chidimma Adetshina's, mother has been detained by Home Affairs in Cape Town.
Anabela Rungo's South African documentation was withdrawn last year after it was found to have been fraudulently obtained but she continued to live in the country.
Adetshina withdrew from the Miss South Africa contest in a cloud of controversy over her citizenship.
Her identity and travel documents have since been revoked by Home Affairs.
She went on to represent Nigeria at Miss Universe.
