Discussion | HIV numbers in Gauteng

JOHANNESBURG - Worryingly, high HIV numbers have been recorded for people between the ages of 50 and 54 in Gauteng.

A total of 32.2 percent of people in this age group are living with HIV as of 2022.

The Human Sciences Research Council recently released its Sixth South African HIV Prevalence, Incidence and Behaviour Survey.

Professor Khangelani Zuma from the council is the principal investigator of the study.
