Discussion | Helping kasi businesses access funding opportunities

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Economic Development MEC Lebogang Maile says townships have transformed from being reserves for black labour to spaces of immense economic opportunities.

There are approximately 3.3 million micro and informal enterprises in South Africa, with over half of these operating in Gauteng.

It's estimated that almost 20 prcent of total employment is generated by the township economy.
