PRETORIA - The Public Protector recently released a report on an investigation into allegations Gauteng departments improperly constructed a school on an old sewer line without conducting a wetland study.
Over R80m was spent on an incomplete project.
The investigation comes after a complaint by Mmusi Maimane in September 2020.

Among other things, the investigation found the Gauteng Infrastructure Development and Education departments did not comply with the applicable legal procedures regulating procurement.
