Discussion | Fitch affirms SA's rating at BB-

JOHANNESBURG - Fitch Ratings has maintained South Africa’s credit rating at 'BB minus' with a stable outlook.

Fitch is however concerned about the nation's bleak growth prospects and soaring public debt.

Fitch says government debt is expected to be 83.2 percent of GDP, far higher than the median for BB-graded nations at 52 percent.
