Discussion | Financial misconduct in the City of Johannesburg

JOHANNESBURG - The City of Johannesburg council has approved a report outlining instances of financial misconduct purportedly involving City officials. 

The report underscores cases of irregular, fruitless, and wasteful expenditures. 

It will be presented to the Disciplinary Board for scrutiny, with subsequent actions to be taken against those found to have violated municipal regulations. 

MMC for Group Corporate and Shared Services, Councillor Loyiso Masuku has welcomed this, as a testament to the commitment of the Executive to root out corruption, maladministration, and fraud.
